The recent concluded 2011 Taiwan Open Athletic Championships held between 27-28th May 2011, saw 17-member Team Singapore contingent, comprising of fourteen athletes, and three officials/coach, bringing back home favorable results.
Held at the Kaohsiung National Stadium, saw two national records tumbled (pending ratification by SAA), and two medals haul from our relay teams.
Dipna Lim Prasad improved her women’s 100m hurdles (0.838m) record to a new mark of 14.23 seconds +0.7m/s, while newly-discovered hurdling prodigy Zaki Sapari slashed his personal best in the men’s 400m hurdles (0.914m) to a new National Juniors boys timing of 53.59 seconds.
