The below men’s pole vault was held in the morning session. It was won by Chinese Taipei’s Hsien, Chia-Han who vaulted to a winning height of 5.10m. In the photo below is Thailand’s Sompong Saombankuay.

Md. Elfi below managed to land a bronze in a closely contested 100m men’s final held earlier in the late afternoon. He clocked 10.88 seconds in the heats, before lowering it to 10.70 seconds in the finals.
Amanda Choo did the nation proud by capturing gold in the women’s 100m finals. She pipped Japan’s Hayaka Yamada by three hundredth of a second for the win, clocking the tape in 12.15 seconds.
