Let’s hear from Amanda Choo herself regarding her race in Thailand recently during the weekend, where she erased her own women’s 100m national mark from 12.03 seconds (set in April 2010 at Negeri Sembilan Open), to 12.01 seconds.
Amanda Choo, “It was a great race but bittersweet at the same time.
I was really hoping to go under 12 seconds but the rain came and the track had puddles here and there.
It was really neck-to-neck between Siti (Malaysia) and I and it came down to the dip which I seriously need improvement in.
However that said, to come back with a new national record is fantastic too and really exciting as I know I am progressing well as I gear up for Asian Games (12-27 Nov).
Up next, I’ll be heading to Malaysia for one or two competitions and then finally Asian Games in November.
For now, it is also back to intensive training to work on my weaker areas.”
