Singapore is hosting the tug of war event at the Asian level for the first time. The aim is to promote rapport building and establish good ties among Asian countries through the sport of tug of war as well as promote community bonding and celebrate the nation birthday.

We have the honour to have Senior Minister of State for foreign affairs and Defence, Dr Maliki Osman as our guest of honour.

Participating countries: Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Macau, Hong Long, Japan and Korea.

Participating local clubs: SA affiliates, Home Team and SAF

Expected number of teams: 15-20 teams (around 150-200 participants)

Spectators: Open to members of public
