Edmund Sim, our top Republic racewalker emulated his 2012 form where he set the national mark in the 20km road racewalking event.

In cold and windy temperature of 3 degress celcius with winds of 24 kph, the 31-year-old crossed the finish line in 1:36:58.

He finished in 10th position at the Asian 20km race walking championship that was held in Nomi Japan.

Edmund came close to his national mark of 1:36.01 set in 2012 at the same meet.
