The 1st IAAF Continental Cup, or formerly known as IAAF World Cup was held recently from 4-5th September in Split, Croatia.
It’s an international gathering of teams from four major continent, Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Athletes are selected based on top performances at IAAF sanctioned meets such as European Athletics Championships, to African Championships.
For this year’s edition, Europe triumphed with 429 points, amassing some 13 golds. On par with the gold medal tally, was second placed Americas, but was trailing in term of points however. They had 419.5 points.
Third goes to Africa, and the last fourth spot was Asia, both having seven golds to show for.
