Our top marathoner Mok Ying Ren beats SEA Games qualifying men marathon mark of 2:29.09 at the Gold Coast Marathon yesterday morning.

In fact he ran 2:26:30, faster than the SEA Games Gold medal wining time of 2:27.45 set in Palembang in 2011 by Yahuza of Indonesia.

For the race in Gold Coast, he finished 7th in his field. He improved his personal best by four seconds, his old lifetime best was 2:26.34 set in 2011 at Christchurch Marathon.
