SELECTION OF THE 4X400M TRAINING SQUAD FOR THE 26TH SOUTH EAST ASIAN GAMES
The 4x400m Men & Women Training Squads for the 26th SEA Games will be selected from the 400m athletes participating in the 2011 SAA Track & Field Series 3 to be held on the 2nd & 3rd April 2011 at Nanyang Polytechnic Stadium.
We the association would want to try and qualify for the SEA Games relays as soon as possible. For a start, the fastest 8 finalists from each gender, regardless of age-group, will be selected from the 400m Timed Finals on 2nd April 2011 to form 2 teams and race against each other in the relay trials on 3rd April 2011, 5pm during the SAA Track & Field Series. The final 4 – 6 sprinters who will make up the relay teams to the SEA Games will be decided on merit later in the season through consultation with all sprint coaches.
Athletes and Coaches please take note and prepare your athletes accordingly. The registration for SAA Track & Field Series 3 is open and will close on Sunday, 27 March 2011.
