The SAA fourth edition of ‘Parents, Athletes, Coaches Gathering’ was recently held on 15th October at the Hotel Royal.
The event was earmarked with the launch of SEA Games booklet, and highlighting the athletics contingent that will be going for the Games in Palembang, Indonesia.
Most of the 44-member SEA Games squad was present from athletes, to officials, coaches and team manager. The competing squad comprises of 11 female and 17 male athletes, of which eight are below the age of 20-years-old.

Mr. Tang Weng Fei opening address
The opening address by SAA President Mr. Tang Weng Fei gave an optimistic outlook of the young Team Singapore squad balanced with the experienced athletes such as appointed SEA Games captain Kenneth Khoo, and discus thrower James Wong.
Launch of SEA Games booklet
SAA exco was sporting enough to entertain the audience and media people.
The relay line-up of Mr. Loh Chan Pew (SAA VP of Competitions Organising), Mr. C. Kunalan (SAA VP of Training & Selection), Mr. William Wong (SAA VP of Finance) and Mr. Tang Weng Fei (SAA President) re-enact a mockup baton passing relay for the launch of SEA Games 2011 booklet, and signifying unity within the local athletics ranks. Mr. C. Kunalan speech
Mr. Kunalan giving his speech, and tell the tales of his own past experience living and treating injuries the old-school way. The 69-year-old highlight the importance of sports science, & the need and using such advances in recoveries methods for athletes.
Mr. Christopher Jones, Osteopathy specialist
Osteopathy expert Mr. Christopher Jones gave an insightful talk on injury prevention, spotting it early and rectifying them.
