Congratulations to James Wong after becoming our 9th Team Singapore qualifier for the upcoming SEA Games.
The 42-year-old tossed 52.15m in the men’s 2kg discus earlier in a SEA Games trial at Nanyang Poly, beating the bronze SEA Games qualifying mark of 52.02m.
This father-of-two is eying his record tenth gold medal in his twelfth SEA Games swansong outing.
Another notable performance in the same SEA Games trial includes Wan Lay Chi 48.22 meters effort in the women’s 1kg discus.
She improved her season-best, which was 46.88 meters, but however it was not close enough to beat the SEA Games qualifying benchmark of 49.12m.
