Singapore Athletics Coaches Meetings

Dear coaches,

After the successful first event-specific engagement session a few weeks ago, SAA would like to invite the coaches for the 2nd round of discussion. We’ll catch up on what we’ve discussed previously and we would like to share our ideas regarding a new, age-related carding criterion for the upcoming seasons, to make selections and funding more objective.

You might also have heard that the primary school competitions will change its format in the nearby future. In line with these adjustments, MOE and SAA are looking forward to optimize the schedule and the content of the National School Games (NSG) for Secondary schools as well. After a short analysis of this year’s NSG-edition including the SEA Youth Championships, we would like to receive your feedback, on how we’re able to provide a motivating experience for our youngsters and a proper performance development for Singapore’s athletes on the longer term.

By saying this, we’ll also present to you the first draft of a customized long-term athletes development plan. Your input to this plan will be highly appreciated since we believe that it is one of the baselines for the future success of our athletes.

Please be aware that this meeting is for SAA coaches only! It would be great if you’re able to confirm your participation as mentioned below! SAA will provide dinner and refreshments. We’ll keep you updated regarding the venue of our meeting. We’re looking forward to a fruitful discussion and wish you all the best in the meantime!
