Tug of War Coaching and Umpiring Seminar

A coach from Taiwan will be invited to conduct a 2 day Tug-of-War Coaching and Umpiring Seminar for Tug of War committee members. This is the first of such a course in Singapore, and at the end of the 2-day course, certificate and licenses would be presented to the committee members.

Tug of War Clinic Session

In the month of July, the Tug of War team would be conducting 2 clinic sessions. On 26 July, there’s a clinic session for students from Republic Poly. It is expected that a total of about 40 students would be attending the session.

On 28 July, the Tug of War team would be conducting a clinic session for officers from the Gurkha Contingent. It is expected that a total of about 15 officers would be attending the session.

Singapore Flyer National Tug of War Challenge 2011

The Tug of War team would be organizing its biggest event of the year. It’s a collaboration with Singapore Flyer. The event would be held on 19 and 20 Nov 2011 @ the Promenade@ Singapore Flyer. There would be 2 categories for the competition: Uniformed Services (Men) and Corporate (Men and Mixed).

A total of about 30 teams are expected to take part in the competition. The uniformed services category is expected to be the most competitive. Prior to the event, there would be a series of clinic sessions for the participating teams.

Each registered team is required to pay a registration fee of S$160 for 10 participants. An exclusive souvenir t-shirt would be given to each participant.

Tug of War National Teams from Malaysia and Brunei are also invited to have a friendly match with the National Team.
