Our national junior shot put and discus record holder better her season best in the women’s discus event. She earned a silver with her 46.83 meters effort.

Hear what Wan Lay Chi has to say on her Thailand Open outing, as she recaps her performance, and future competition.

Wan Lay Chi, “I’m quite happy with my throws as I did my season best in Thailand.

Not as well as I expected however. I was actually aiming for 47 meter.

But still it’s an encouraging result, coming after training with my coach James Wong.

After Thai Open, I have two more upcoming competitions, which are the IVP and Malaysian Open.

Well hopefully they don’t clash date-wise, as it serves the much need competition leading up to the Asian Games (12-27 Nov).”
