7th SEA Youth 2012 – Singapore Youth Team Qualifiers

Dear Coaches and Athletes,

Please see the attached ranking list results for all events that are contested at this year’s SEA Youth Championships for U18 (17, 16 & 15 Yrs old only) and U21(20, 19 & 18 Yrs old only) for 100m, 200m 400m, 4x100m & 4x400m Relays. If we have missed out anyone, please do email us your results and we will update the list accordingly.

SAA will be selecting and nominating only the top 2 ranked athletes per event for the SEA Youth Championships for the U18 category. We will be also selecting the top 6 ranked athletes for 100m & 400m Men & Women for the U21 Special events.

Your results will be based on the 2011/12 SAA competitions namely:

• SEA Games 2011,
• SAA 2011 Series 6,
• SAA 2012 Series 1, 2, 3,
• IVP 2012,
• 38th National Jrs,
• 2012 National School Championships
• and SAA Special Trials on April 14 (for events that are not contested at the National Schools Championships).

Upon completion of the final selection Meet, we will be contacting you to confirm your participation.

As you can see some of the events have yet to have any qualifiers but there are athletes who are very close to qualifying and there are some events where there are more than 2 qualifiers. We certainly hope that after the National Schools Championships, we will have many of you meeting the marks.

Please take note of the tentative top 2 ranked by Time/Height/Distance for each event contested at the SEA Youth Championships U18 and the tentative top 6 ranked by Time for 100m & 400m for the U21 Special events. We hope all of you will challenge yourself to be selected for the SEA Youth U18 & U21 Team.

7 Apr 2012 (Saturday) is the closing date for the SEA Youth trial registration. Please register your interest with us at SAA, or use our online contact form.
