SAA has released the athlete rankings and further information regarding the 37th Singapore Junior Athletic Championships 2011. Go to the S’pore Junior page here »
The below entails the qualification information for the upcoming 37th Singapore Junior Athletic Championships 2011, which is to be held on 5th (Saturday) to 6th (Sunday) March, 2011.
Only top junior athlete qualifiers, from the following categories of Under-15, Under -18 and Under-20, from SAA sanctioned events, currently to date SAA Track & Field Series 1 and 2, POL-ITE meet and overseas meets sanctioned by SAA, will be selected for the 37th Singapore Junior Athletic Championships 2011.
The qualifiers list will be published on SAA website in the coming days.
Qualification for National Junior Championship:
- Top 16 for track events except hurdles.
- Top 8 for hurdles.
- Top 12 for field events except pole vault
- Top 8 for pole vault.
Categories competed:
- Under-15
- Under-18
- Under-20
Note: All JCs and Polys and Centralised Institute will be placed in Under-20 category except for events with specific implements e.g. Shot Put Boys where 17 years old may compete in Under-18 or Under-20. The categorization is in line with the age categorization of the Singapore National Schools Championships.
Qualifiers to be selected based on performance from 2011 SAA sanctioned events:
- SAA Track & Field Series 1
- SAA Track & Field Series 2
- POL-ITE
- Overseas Meets sanctioned by SAA.
